In case the drive is not recognized by the mac file recovery software, due to virus contamination or the partition information got deleted by previous use of FDISK, the procedure given below can be utilized for getting access to the lost data once again:
Do selection of the Object by opening the drive.
Make selection of Physical drive tab make choice of the physical drive i.e. hard drive on which there is unrecognized drive, because the logical drive shall fail in displaying any lost drives selected for recovering.

By performing quickly scanning, the data recovery proceeds in search for the partition.
Indication of partition found gets displayed:
After the search gets completed, the lost drives shall be now displayed in ‘Logical drive’ tab.
Now make choice of drive to be recovered from the lost drives displayed and locate the files to be recovered.
In case the partition could not be found:
Make choice of physical drive i.e. hard disk on the ‘Physical drive’ tab followed by clicking on ‘Full scan/ find format’.
Mention the specific sector range for proceeding with the search and subsequently do clicking of the “OK” button.
When the searching job gets completed the there shall be display of lost drives in ‘Logical drive’ tab.
Now make choice of the drive wishing to recover from various lost drives and select the files meant to be recovered.
